Thankfully, I have weddings practically every week. I’ve witnessed weddings with more than a thousand guests to an intimate group of 20. Weddings that are grand and very lavish, some, almost chaotic, and those with just pure bliss. I’ve witnessed sibling fights, wilting bouquets, hideous make-up, missing jewelry and other glitches that can really drive one crazy. I’ve seen absentee parents, crying bearers, angry (and hungry) guests and missing priests but NEVER, not once, have I seen an unhappy bride. She’s the one constant among all variables. The minute she’s veiled and all dressed up, everything just falls into place. It’s like magic actually 🙂 Hearts beat faster, shouting fades to whispers, replaced by giggles and excited shrieks. The vision of her just makes everyone smile. There’s a bride, about to marry her Prince. Nothing else matters 🙂
It is this vision of her that I want immortalized when we did the editorial – that happy, blissful bride. That bride who will make you smile too just at the sight of her. 🙂 Good thing the people that I worked with in this editorial are my friends and definitely among the finest in their fields, coz all I said when we were discussing the shoot was “all i want is a happy bride, so lets make her smile genuinely, she’s a bride!”
Amazing that everything just fell into place too. – pretty models perfectly made up, whimsical set up, details that will make everyone gush, lovely bouquets and that song! 🙂 Funny that people during the shoot were coaching the models “no pouting, just smile! you’re a bride! you’re getting married! you’re in love! haha! .. hahaha!” And they did! They were a vision! — giddy, carefree and so full of life. Excited for THE day and the days to come 🙂
Mimi and Karl captured every smiling moment, every image made my heart swell. And that Jason Magbanua video! I was overwhelmed the 1st time I saw it, because it is precisely how I see my brides – relaxed, contented and full of happiness.
Hope you’ll enjoy browsing these photos, as much as we enjoyed doing it. My heartfelt gratitude again, to the following people for sharing their immeasurable talent. Thank you for the love!
